Good news for Fort Myers residents and business investors, the River Basin Project is nearing its construction and development. According to the report of nbc-2.com, many are anticipating the completion of the River Basin Project as crews are now busy putting the finishing touches on the first phase of the 5.3 million dollar project.

Downtown bikers are also on the lookout for the new Fort Myers property management project. The River Basin Project was under construction since March. Michelle Saunders, North Fort Myers resident said, "It's just something fascinating to be able to have one more amenity in this area that we kind if call home. I've the seen the growth. I've been monitoring the growth ever since I was a kid."

The project will serve as retention area for storm water runoff where it's filtered and released into river. Randy Henderson, present Mayor of the City of Fort Myers says that the new basin will bring in new shops and restaurants. Henderson said, "It was important for the city in the sense that it finishes off what we started 7 or 8 years ago in the way if infrastructure improvements. This will set the table for developers to come in." People can expect new benches when the construction is almost done.
